Job Duties:Operation of Boilers. Ensure continuous supply of bagasse to mill boilers. Assist with the burning of bagasse in boilers, with the raking of boilers and the cleaning of boilers during the harvest season. Preparation of equipment prior to harvest making adjustments to ensure in working order for the first day of grinding. Temporary, full-time positions; willing to work 7 days a week, varying 12 hour shifts (12pm-12am; 12am-12pm); 84 hrs a week during harvest season, 40 hrs a week after harvest season until the end of the contract, overtime paid after 48 hours during harvesting and after 40 hours after harvesting; worker will have 30 minutes paid lunch break during the workday. A minimum of 3 months experience required in job offered. No minimum education required. No on the job training provided. A single workweek will be used in computing wages due. Wages are paid bi-weekly. Optional on-site lodging offered at no charge to workers hired in this temporary seasonal position. All Local, State and Federal Taxes will be deducted from employees pay check as stated in the law. The employer will provide workers at no charge all tools, supplies, and equipment required to perform the job. If applicable, daily transportation to and from worksite will be provided by employer. The employer guarantees to offer work for hours equal to at least three-fourths of the workdays in each 12-week period of the total employment period.
