About the Company
In 1948, W. Ellery Kellum started a one room oyster shucking house on the shores of Carters Creek and not far from the Chesapeake Bay.
For over 60 years the company has been in continuous operation and continuous family ownership.
Today, the W.E. Kellum facility consists of a 10,000 square feet, complete with cold storage, world class labeling systems and on site USDC inspections. Kellum Brand Oysters are offered as both live in shell products as well as fresh and frozen shucked oysters. Kellum Seafood deals in scallops, oysters, soft crabs, and Chesapeake Bay fin fish.
