In the winter the trees are dormant and this is the time that the trees are in need of pruning by hand.  In the spring the employees will also help in the planting of new trees and installation of the support systems on the trees. In the midst of all this they will also be doing general farm labor which consists of, hand thinning fruit, picking rocks and other debris, mulch, pruning, cutting shoots and suckers, raking and cutting debris, inserting and removing tree spreaders, pulling and cutting thorny plants from around trees.
