A Farm Team Lead is responsible for overseeing and supporting the daily duties of a 6 10 person Farm Team. This includes assuring farm tasks are completed on time according to the production plan and in accordance with company standards. A Farm Team Lead distributes farm tasks to the farm team and works closely with field Quality Control personnel to assure production quality specifications are met. Conduct daily pre-shift meeting with crew to communicate work tasks. Compose daily report of work completed and barriers with resolutions. Create and publish projected work schedules in a daily, weekly and monthly range. Assure work preparations are completed in advance to operate efficiently and reduce down time. Monitor and report crop storage inventory to Supervisor. Complete preventative maintenance on farm equipment and monitor fluids and grease needs on equipment. Deliver or distribute needed parts and supplies for farm tasks to farm team. Drive to town to pickup farm supplies. Understand machine and equipment manuals and user guides. Understand, teach and follow company Standard Operating Procedures. Communicate Standard Operating Procedure revisions to team members and assure they follow them. Monitor and report crop production to Supervisor. Communicate Standard Operating Procedure revision needs or suggestions to area manager. Will learn and teach new equipment technologies. All duties assigned by Supervisor in accordance to company standards. Crop List: Alfalfa, Hay, Potatoes, Wheat, and Corn.
