Focus Ranch was established in 1896 and is situated in the upper end of the Little Snake River Valley, a valley very familiar to Butch Cassidy and the Sundance Kid. It is also an area where battles were fought between the cattlemen and sheep men. Focus Ranch officially became a dude ranch in the late 1930’s when the previous owners decided to charge the extended family and friends who came to vacation. Focus Ranch was one of the earliest members of the Colorado Dude and Guest Ranch Association and is currently a member of the Dude Ranch Association.
