Job Duties: Take orders from patrons for food or beverages and serve/deliver food or beverages to patrons. Present menus to patrons and answer questions about menu items. Write food orders on order slips, memorize orders, or enter orders into point-of-sale system for transmittal to kitchen staff. Present check to customer and collect payment, clear table or remove tray from guest room. Assists with the opening and closing of restaurant or food and beverage area. Set-up, clean, and break down workstation and tables. Prepare tables for meals, including setting up items such as linens, silverware, and glassware. Roll silverware, set up food stations, or set up dining areas to prepare for the next shift or for large parties. Stock service areas with supplies such as coffee, food, tableware, and linens. Fill salt, pepper, sugar, cream, condiment, and napkin containers. Perform other job-related duties as assigned. The employer will offer 40 hours per week. Open 7 days a week. 5-day work schedule varies Sunday through Saturday. Shift times vary including: 5am–1pm, 7am-3pm, 9am-5pm, 11am-7pm, 1pm-9pm, 3pm-11pm, 5pm-1am, 11pm-7am. Other 8-hour day and evening shift times possible/may be required. Workdays, hours, and shift times may vary with occupancy. Basic wage rate of pay: $11.64/hr. to $15.00/hr. Employer may increase wage based on experience, changes in market conditions, and/or provide additional pay for performance and tenure. Tipped position with a basic rate of $11.64/hr. Allowed tip credit applied per FLSA guidelines to meet offered wage. FLSA tip credit taken as follows: direct wage at $5.12 per hour. The cash wage paid will be $6.52/hr. to $11.64/hr. In locations that exceed the hourly guaranteed basic wage rate of pay of $11.64, the employer will pay the difference and will not take a tip credit for any amount over $11.64 per hour. If in a given work week the worker’s tips do not meet the hourly tip credit, the employer will compensate for the difference between what is earned and the hourly guaranteed base rate for where the work was performed. All tips received by the tipped worker are retained by the worker except for a valid tip pooling arrangement limited to workers who customarily and regularly receive tips. The tip credit will not apply unless the worker has been notified of the employer’s intention to exercise the tip credit. Banquet Servers/Setup – Service Fee position: Basic wage rate of pay: $11.64/hr. Cash wage paid will be $4.50-$10.00 plus a percentage share of the Service Fee to meet $11.64/hr. Allowed Service Fee credit applied per FLSA guidelines. Employer guarantees offered wage in any given work week when service fee compensation does not make hour wage equal/or exceed basic wage rate of $11.64/hr. Overtime may be available. An overtime premium will be paid when required by Federal, State, or local law, including at time-and-a half after 40 hours per workweek. Generally, when overtime is available it will be paid at $17.46/hr. to $22.50/hr. The regular rate will be computed by adding together total earnings for the workweek from all sources, excluding tips received in excess of the tip credit, then dividing that number by the total hours worked in the workweek. If the regular rate exceeds $11.64 per hour, the employer will pay the difference between $11.64 and the regular rate during an overtime week. Optional medical and dental insurance is available. Experience Required: No
Special Requirements: Must have a valid Food Handler’s certification and TIPS or Alcohol Awareness certification or be willing to obtain once employed (provided by employer). Must be at least 21 years old. Must be able to lift 30 lbs. Must be able to stand for the entirety of shift while reaching, bending and stooping as needed. Must be able to work a flexible 5-day schedule with varying shifts, including overnight/third shift, weekends and holidays. Pre-employment criminal background check required, cost paid by employer and applied equally to all workers, U.S. and foreign/H-2B. Applicant must complete an employment application. Required uniform provided at no charge to the worker.
