General Farmworkers

General farm workers for crawfish & rice season. Crawfishing includes: cutting bait, baiting crawfish traps, operate push & motorized boats; lift traps from pond and empty crawfish into sacks; load crawfish on truck and bring to farm; unload sacks of crawfish, weigh & tag; repair traps as needed; help repair and maintain farm equipment, shop, fields, and check water. Frequent stooping, lifting requirement of 40 lbs., repetitive movements, extensive walking, pushing & pulling; working outside in inclement weather conditions. Rice includes: assist with planting and harvest of rice; general maintenance of rice bins; assist in rice drying operation including: upkeep, sweeping, shoveling rice, spreading rice in bins, cleaning up rice spills, leveling bins, and unloading/loading rice trucks. Tools, supplies & equipment provided at no cost to workers. Housing provided on the premises at no cost. Employees may make above hourly wage and or receive bonuses based on work performance and experience, may be subject to random drug screen paid by employer upon hire or if suspicions arise–this is a drug free work zone. Transportation & subsistence expenses to the worksite will be paid by the employer upon completion of 50% of the work contract. Must have legal authority to work within the U.S.
