Forestry Worker

All applicants must be able, willing, qualified perform work described in this job description & be available entire period specified. Duties may include: reforest, protect timber tracts, sow seed; lift seedlings from nursery beds, place shade materials beside seedlings, net/ tube (place small plastic tubes over seedlings); mulch, post-plant hand scalp (remove excess vegetation around seedlings); apply repellent or fertilizer to seedlings & other forestry related activities as per Forestry & Land Management General Forestry Laborer activities as per SOC/OES 45-4011 (onetonline.org). Perform physical activities: lift, balance, walk, stoop, handle, position, move, manipulate materials use static strength-exert max muscle force to lift, push, pull, or carry objects up to 50lbs. Attn to detail; complete work tasks timely. Outdoors, exposed to weather; must be capable physical strenuous labor long hrs, may fluctuate (+/-), possible downtime/ OT. Tools/equipment provided at no cost to worker. The employer’s optional housing is provided at no cost to worker.
