Workers must be able to plant, cultivate (staking and tying) Harvest, do quality control and pack; variety of peppers, eggplant (all species), watermelon, squash, cucumber, tomato, tomato round, cucurbit, cantaloupe, zucchini, hard squash, grape/cherry/Roma tomatoes, mint, basil, dill, cilantro, shishito, Fresno, green Swiss chard, red Swiss chard, rainbow swiss chard, various herbs, micro greens, squash flowers, and parsley. Packing House is part of the farm. Prune take cuttings for propagation, load trucks, repair drip irrigation, clean greenhouse, spray, nursery work, irrigation work, weed, dig ditches, daily farm maintenance, general farm duties, clean production areas and facilities. Plant produce by hand placing into pre-dug holes along rows. Pick developed peppers or tomatoes from bush and place into bucket, making sure that plant is picked clean of all peppers or tomatoes of correct size and maturity. When bucket is full, carry to dumper on truck that is moving through rows alongside workers, being careful not to bruise peppers. Pick developed cucumbers and place into bucket, making sure that the plant is picked clean of cucumbers of correct size and maturity. When bucket is full, worker will carry to dumper on truck that is moving through rows alongside workers being careful not to bruise cucumbers. Cut squash or eggplant using a knife and place into bucket, making sure that squash or eggplant is picked clean of correct size and maturity. When bucket is full, carry to dumper on truck moving through rows alongside workers. Make sure that crops are picked clean of all produce of correct size and maturity according to supervisor’s instructions being careful not to bruise or damage produce. Workers will operate, repair, clean and maintain farm equipment and vehicles. Assist with Good Agricultural Practices policies. Workers are expected to possess the skill work in the production of crops listed. The introductory period for all work and to familiarize workers with job specifications and to demonstrate proper harvest methods and other crop specific issues. Workers must adhere to all safety rules as instructed by the supervisor. Workers must take care to handle tools, equipment and produce in a manner to avoid injury or damage. The employer will comply with all federal, state, and local safety requirements. Operational specifications can change during the season due to crop or market condition. Workers will be expected to conform to the specific instructions given for each day’s work. Instructions and general supervision will be provided by the employer or a designated employee. Workers will have close supervision to insure adherence to instructions. Work will be closely monitored and reviewed for quality. Daily individual work assignments, crew assignments and location of work will be made by the employer or designated employees as the needs of the operation dictate. Workers may be assigned a variety of duties in any given and different tasks on different days. Workers may transport the crop to the packing house which is part of the farms. Workers with driving authorizations /valid driver’s license may drive workers from to housing and to worksite and grocery store.

Special Requirements: Three-month experience in manually Planting, Cultivating, Harvesting, and packing; variety of peppers, cucumbers, eggplant, corn, cabbage, specialty peppers, cucurbit crops all, zucchini, round tomato / grape tomato/ roma tomato /and cherry tomato, bell peppers, squash, hard squash, watermelon, and cantaloupe. Valid driving authorizations /Drivers License required to operate the companys vehicles. Workers must be 18 years or older. The employer may conduct a criminal background check on all new applicants for employment. (Owner’s Expense) All tools, supplies, and equipment will be provided at no cost to workers. lifting requirement of up to 40 lbs. Workers may be offered more than the standard hours of work in a single workday. Workers may volunteer to work additional hours when work is available. Hours of work may increase/decrease depending on crop yield and or weather and can occur at any time throughout the season. The majority of the workday is spent on ones feet.
