Crawfish Plant Laborer

***RFI Response*** The specific tasks involved in processing crawfish at the employer’s worksite includes a combination of the other specific duties listed including the process of accepting the crawfish when purchased by the employer (unloading, counting, weighing, tagging); the the process of prepping for sale per customer’s orders (separate, examine, washing, sorting, grading, icing), and the process of filling customers orders (pallet crawfish, loading trucks). This does not include the worker removing the meat from the shell. The specific tasks performed by licensed employees while “traveling” includes driving a company pickup truck to the farms/docks and/or customers and assisting with the loading and unloading of the crawfish by hand. This requires the individual to drive and/or ride along, lift crawfish sacks into the bed/box of the truck, and then unload the crawfish sacks at the worksite or customer’s location. ***Original F.a.2*** Job Duties may include: preparing crawfish for processing; prepare crawfish for sale; washing, grading, and sorting of crawfish; weighing and tagging of crawfish; pallet crawfish; loading and unloading of trucks; obtaining/distributing crawfish/product; package crawfish; move crawfish; pick/remove trash/foreign matter or waste products; dump containers and/or sacks; fill sacks; label crawfish; lift/carry; transport crawfish to vehicles; separate/sort; process crawfish; pre-grade crawfish; examine product to meet specifications; ice down or refrigerate crawfish; cleanup and sanitize worksite, crawfish trucks, and equipment.
