Rio Volleyball Club Inc.
About the Company
QUALITY TRAINING YIELDS QUALITY PERFORMANCE Rio Volleyball, headed by Coach and Club Director Rafael Silva, lives by the belief that performance on the court is a direct result of the effort put in during practice. In return, Rio provides an experienced and dedicated coaching staff who focus first on developing age-appropriate fundamentals and building skills; teaching girls to work hard, and to learn to work as a team. Depending on the age and level of the team, girls train 3 to 4 days a week, with a combination of team practice, skills clinics, agility and conditioning. QUALITY PERFORMANCE Working hard in practice leads to Quality Performance on the court. It develops players and coaches that can adapt to changing circumstances, exhibit flexibility in their play and who show confidence in their teammates. We measure success in growth and team development over points and wins. We believe that the quality of the tournament is much more important than the quantity. Rio teams train more and spend less time at tournaments than other clubs, but our method has proven to be successful, as, in our first year, 37% of our teams earned bids to USAV Nationals, a better record than all but one of the major clubs in Atlanta.
