Hiner Outdoor Living (originally Hiner Landscapes) started for one reason; transform Colorado Springs into a town of “outsiders”. Coming home from a stressful day, my wife Melissa and I would sit outside on our patio and take in the fresh air. This is when the epiphany of “why doesn’t everyone have this” came about. Of all times to start a new business, I began in the Fall of 2008. Being in the business of letting people relax and relieve the stresses of the day, starting this company at the beginning of a recession actually helped our clients drift away for a bit each day.
