H2A Available Job

Formerly known as Norris Berry Farm, the Norris family purchased the farm in 1973 and operated it as a dairy for many years before transitioning to berries and produce. It was Norma’s idea to plant strawberries, and over time she grew from the corner of her garden to several acres of strawberries and mixed vegetables in cultivation. She also opened the farm for Pick Your Own berries, and the farm remains a well loved summer destination for the community.

In 2016, Norma sold the farm to the Vermont Land Trust, an organization dedicated to the protection of agricultural land. In January 2017 the land trust chose Stephen and Sarah Park to take over management of the farm through their Farmland Access Program, which allows farmers to purchase property at agricultural value, conserving the land and ensuring the land stays in agricultural production in the process. The transition was quick, and the Parks were able to take over operations and fully run the farm by March 2017.

The Parks leased the farm from the land trust for one year and were finally able to purchase  it in summer 2018, conserving the land in the process. They are grateful to have the opportunity to continue the legacy of the farm and look forward to many bountiful seasons ahead.
